Dr. Suarez earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Saint Mary (USM) in Kansas in 2015. Maria continued her education at USM earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2018. She started her physical therapy career in the Midwest shortly after and later pursued a travel physical therapist role in the Chicago area. Maria is now excited to be back in her hometown and give back to the community that shaped her into who she is now.

Maria was born and raised in Salinas, CA. Maria competed in Track and Field and soccer at Alisal High School but spent most of her time honing her skills in Track, specifically in the triple jump. This took Maria to compete collegiately at Hartnell College and eventually at USM at the NAIA level. Maria was a national qualifier for both indoor and outdoor triple jump events in 2014-2015. Her experience in athletics has influenced Maria’s career and understanding of the human body in relation to performance and rehabilitation.

Maria is committed to continued learning and helping people achieve their physical therapy, fitness, performance, and personal goals through movement, corrective exercises, and manual techniques. Maria enjoys staying active outdoors and is looking forward to being able to do some of her favorite things including going wine tasting, listening to live music, and supporting local athletics.
