“Dr. Fraley is a native of Monterey. Katie played many sports during her high school career, her main passion being softball. She led her high school team to the CCS Championship as the only senior on the team before leaving for college in 2018. She attended California State University Chico (CSUC), where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Adaptive Physical Activity. She also played on the CSUC women’s rugby team during this time. After graduating, Katie relocated to North County San Diego, where she attended the University of St Augustine for Health Sciences and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
Katie first became interested in physical therapy when a close family member developed an inflammatory condition that severely limited their mobility and ability to perform simple daily activities. This experience gave Katie a deeper insight into how pain and mobility deficits can immensely impact an individual’s mental health and quality of life. Katie was then inspired to pursue a career in physical therapy. She strives to provide impactful care by implementing compassion, kindness, and a positive attitude to help others achieve their therapy goals, gain confidence with movement, and improve their quality of life. As a 5th generation Monterey County native, Katie is excited to give back and serve her local community.
Outside of the clinic, you can find Katie outdoors, whether walking her dog on the beach, going for hikes in Big Sur, or prone paddle boarding along the coastline. She also enjoys reading a good book, cooking, and listening to music.
