Dr. Miguel Vargas
Clinical Director: Salinas
Dr. Vargas graduated from San Francisco State University with a Kinesiology degree and emphasis in Exercise Science and Motor Control, before pursuing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at California State University Fresno. Miguel spent 8 years as a member of the United States Army were he served as an Infantryman and completed a 15 month tour in Iraq as a heavy machine gunner, grenadier and Alpha team leader of a line unit.

He first became interested in physical therapy during his transition back to civilian life in which he would occasionally take his fellow Soldiers to their rehabilitation appointments. He felt that as a physical therapist there was more he could do to help returning Veterans than he ever could while in the service. Miguel has always committed himself to clinical excellence and lifelong learning and uses the most current Evidence-Based practice and functional training. As a Salinas Native, he is committed to serving his community in the best possible manner.

Miguel attended Everett Alvarez High School class of 2001, as well as Hartnell College and understands the importance of giving back to the community.

In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and attending 49er football games whenever possible.
