As a former collegiate student-athlete, Dr. Gonzales’ interest in sports and rehabilitation influenced his decision to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
After attending schools in Fresno, “Nikky” (as he’s known in the clinic) graduated from the University of Pikeville in Pikeville, Kentucky, with a bachelor’s degree in biology. While attending University of Pikeville, Nikky played on the baseball team, and later became an assistant coach during his final year of school. He then attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where he obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. While attending Washington University, Nikky worked as a personal trainer for college students and young athletes.
Dr. Gonzales is a certified strength and conditioning specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. As a physical therapist, Nikky believes in fostering independence and positive mentalities. He hopes to encourage people to return to their favorite hobbies and activities by educating and providing people with the tools to help themselves move better. Nikky was born and raised in Fresno, California, and he enjoys playing sports of all kinds, working out, hiking, and watching Liverpool FC and Bay Area sports teams on the weekends. Nikky also enjoys traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
