Dr. Sara Long
PT, DPT
Assistant Clinical Director
Dr. Long is a native of Salinas. She attended San Diego State University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy. After graduating, Sara relocated to the Pacific Northwest where she attended Pacific University and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2019.

Sara first became interested in physical therapy while rehabilitating her ankle with the Balance Physical Therapy team. Dr. Joseph Melo PT, DPT helped Sara return to her senior year of volleyball at Salinas High School following a major ankle surgery. The dedication and knowledge that Joey brought to Sara’s rehabilitation process inspired her to pursue a career in physical therapy. She strives to bring the same passion and teamwork to each of her patients in order to help them live their most active life possible.

Focusing on individualized care, Sara is dedicated to helping people live life without the burden of pain and physical limitations. She incorporates evidence-based practice and compassion with every patient she sees. As a third generation Monterey County native Sara is excited to provide care and to help the community that shaped her into the woman she is today.

Outside of the clinic, you can find Sara trying out new recipes in the kitchen, working out, playing with her two cattle dogs, Burr and Lex, and hanging out on the ranch with her husband, Garrett. She also enjoys cheering on Bay Area Sports, traveling, riding dirt bikes, and spending time with her local friends and family. Sara would love to see you in the clinic in order to help you reach your maximum rehabilitation goals!
